Louise Bourgeois (1997) Eyes is a sculpture park that opened on 10 August 2012 as part of a development project in Oslo. The park contains seven sculptures by renowned contemporary artists, including Louise Bourgeois and Anish Kapoor. The sculptures are placed with a view of the Oslo Fjord and Akershus Fortress, which creates a visual contrast between the art and the natural landscape.
Designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, the park has been expanded in 2013 with more sculptures. It is located near a public beach, which is accessible to visitors. The concept for the park was developed in collaboration with the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, which emphasizes the international connection of the project.
