Portveien 2 is a cultural landmark located in the district of Sagene, between Voldsløkka Sports Complex and Bjølsenparken. The area is known for its green surroundings and includes 109 gardeners, earning it the nickname "the green lung" of the neighborhood. This place was established in 1912 by Ole Sundø, who was director of the weekly magazine "Hjemmet".
In addition to the lush garden areas, Portveien 2 offers joint work and activities for the colonists associated with the site. There is also a café, "Lille Café", which serves coffee and waffles in season and is popular with visitors. Portveien 2 also houses Norway's most famous cabin, which further contributes to the place's cultural significance.
