Blindern Student Home is a student housing offer located at the University of Oslo, on the Blindern campus. The establishment was opened in 1925 as a private foundation, and aims to be a home for students from all over the country, regardless of field of study. The location provides easy access to the university, and there are good public transport connections with both the subway and tram, which makes it easy to get to central Oslo and Majorstua.
The student residence has a strong social environment, with a number of traditional events and parties that have become part of the place since its inception. Residents have access to communal facilities such as a fireplace lounge, dining room, music room and reading room. All meals are included in the stay, which contributes to the community among the students. Nearby there is also a convenience store, pharmacy, health services, bookshop and fitness centre, which provide the residents with practical offers in everyday life.
