SA Stone Sculpture is an artist-run communal workshop for monumental sculpture, established in 1948. The company specializes in headstones, retro stones, recycled stones and new stones, and also offers lettering and other sculptural services. With a central exhibition at Helsfyr, they have approximately 250 stones available for order at any time, as well as natural stone.
The collaboration between shareholders, employees and board provides a unique structure that enables SA Stone Sculpture to meet specific requests from customers. The artists can design models, carve reliefs and portraits directly in the stone, as well as cast in bronze for assembly. It is also possible to have models that are not on display cut after ordering. The company has a temporary interruption of operations in its bronze sculpture department.
