Anders Somby is a writer and guitarist with a background in musicology from the University of Oslo. He has been active in the Sami art community as a board member of both the Sami composers and the Sami artists' council for ten years. Somby has published three novels that follow the investigator Herlov Holm, a character inspired by well-known literary figures such as Sherlock Holmes. His books combine elements of parody, humor and mystery, and the characters are developed as independent figures within Norwegian entertainment literature.
In addition to the novels, Somby has written the collection of short stories "Ghost stories". The themes in his work often explore the conflict between myth and reality. The publisher Anders Somby publishes his own books and also produces music, which shows his broad involvement in both literature and music.
