Font Forlag AS was established in 2005 by Halfdan W. Freihow and Knut Ola Ulvestad. The publishing house specialized in translated fiction as well as Norwegian non-fiction, and contributed to expanding the range of literature on the Norwegian market. Over the years, they published a number of titles that received attention for their quality and content.
In 2017, Font Forlag AS was acquired by Cappelen Damm. After the acquisition, the publishing house was run as an imprint for a period, before it became inactive. Sales and information about previous publications from Font Forlag are now handled by Cappelen Damm, which continues the legacy of the publisher and its publications.
