The frame workshop, also known as Frameshop Fagerborg AS, has been a player in handmade framing for over 40 years. The workshop was founded by Stig Strømme in the 1980s and since then has been known for its focus on quality materials and craftsmanship. In 2025, the business became part of Frameshop, and is now run by Stig's sons, Fredrik and Kristian, who continue the traditions from the family business.

The workshop offers a range of framing services, including standard framing, floating mounting and framing with passepartout. They use solid wood strips that are planed in Norway, and all strips are cut and assembled by hand. The frame workshop has also developed its own collection of solid wood moldings, which have a visible wood structure and are made with a focus on detail and quality. The use of acid-free materials and clear or non-reflective glass is also part of their approach to framing.

The frame workshop is located at Fagerborg, at the corner of August Cappelens gate towards Kirkeveien. With a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques, they continue to offer bespoke framing solutions to their customers.
