The Polar Ship Museum, also known as the Fram Museum, is located in Oslo and focuses on polar history, expeditions, explorers and vessels. The museum houses a number of exhibitions that highlight Norway's contribution to polar research, including exhibitions about Roald Amundsen and his expeditions. One of the most popular attractions is the North Pole Flight Simulator, which gives visitors an interactive experience of polar exploration.
The museum also offers a new exhibition about the N25-N24 flights from 1925, as well as the documentary about Captain C.A. Larsen. In addition to the permanent exhibitions, there are opportunities for private events, school visits and guided tours. Visitors can also find books, gifts and a cafe on site, with staff available to provide assistance. Fram2, a new boat, was launched on 31 March, and the museum continues to be an important institution for preserving and communicating polar history.
