The Fire Museum is a museum that focuses on Oslo's fire history. The museum is housed in the old Greenland fire station, which provides an authentic setting for the exhibitions. Objects related to the development of the fire service in the capital are collected and preserved here, including old fire engines and equipment spanning more than 150 years.
The operation of the museum is based on voluntary work, including retired firefighters who contribute their experience and knowledge. In addition to the exhibitions, the museum offers fire safety education for kindergartens, as well as specially adapted education for children over the age of three in the Children's Fire Station. In 2025, a vintage fire engine meeting is planned in Vestfold, and the museum is already fully booked for visits in 2026, with an opening for 2027 that will be announced later.
