Forbundet Styrke is one of LO's largest confederations, with members from various sectors such as oil, gas, agricultural industry, management and engineering. The organization has a strong focus on working life and rights, and works actively to strengthen the community among its members. The association offers resources and support, and engages in downsizing processes to safeguard members' interests.
The members of Forbundet Styrke come from a number of industries, including aluminium, the pharmaceutical industry, plastics, oil services, shipping companies and helicopter companies. The organization has a vertical structure, which makes it possible to organize members from bottom to top in the same company. In addition, Forbundet Styrke accepts members from staffing companies, the self-employed, as well as students, pupils and pensioners. The association has also been awarded prizes for its work with helicopter safety and works to increase the ripple effects from the oil and gas industry in the north.
