Hovindammen, also known as Lillebergdammen, is a bird-watching area located between the Valle and Hovin districts in Oslo. The dam was built in 1907 as an ice dam for the Hovin ice store. It covers an area of 5.5 acres and has a depth of up to four metres. The area around the pond has a park-like design, which contributes to a scenic environment.
Historically, there used to be two other ponds nearby, but these were closed when the sports fields were established in the 1950s. Hovindammen is fed through area drainage and has an outlet via Lillebergbekken. The pond is thus part of a larger ecological system, and it attracts various species of birds, making it a popular place for bird watching.
