Tveita Parsellhagelag is located in Oslo and has a unique history that has previously included use as a school garden and BMX track. Today it functions as a green oasis among apartment blocks, where members can grow their own plants and vegetables. In 1999, the garden team was awarded the prize for best green space by Oslo municipality, which underlines the quality and importance of this community.
In 2010, a new tool shed was built, and renewal of the common areas was initiated the same year. Tveita Parselhagelag celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2014, which marks a long-term presence in the local environment. In 2009, the team was nominated for Oslo municipality's Public Health Award, which reflects their commitment to health and well-being in the city. In addition, they have taken part in the film "The urban garden", which highlights the importance of urban gardens in modern city life.
