The Labor Court is an institution which was established by the Act on Labor Disputes, and whose main focus is to deal with matters between working life organisations. The court has responsibility for both scheduled cases and cases pending, which makes it a central player in employment law issues.
To make communication more efficient, the Labor Court offers a system for electronic communication, which makes it easier for parties to interact with the court. In addition, they have an overview of decided cases, as well as resources such as collections of judgments and sources of law available to users. The court also provides information on relevant laws, such as the Employment Disputes Act and the Service Disputes Act, and has a historical background that provides insight into the organisation's development and role in Norwegian working life.
