The Parents' Committee for Basic Education (FUG) is a national organization that works to guide both parents and school staff in matters related to everyday school life. The organization gives advice on how cooperation between home and school can be strengthened, and aims to ensure that the parents' voice is heard in school policy matters. FUG offers free advice and guidance, as well as holding lectures that focus on the importance of good cooperation between home and school.
In addition to guidance and counselling, FUG develops brochures and other material for parents. The organization also has a toolbox available to members of the Parents' Work Committee (FAU). FUG directs attention to themes such as the school environment, bullying and insecurity, as well as facilitating individual training and special education. FUG also has a podcast that addresses relevant topics for parents and the school environment.
