KORO - Public Art Norway is a public agency whose task has been to convey art to the community since 1977. The agency focuses on art in public spaces and buildings, and works to integrate art into various social projects. KORO offers project support and production assistance to artists, which contributes to the development of art projects in collaboration with public bodies.
Among KORO's ongoing projects are the development of art in the new government quarter and the memorial site after 22 July. In addition to project work, KORO organizes seminars and activities that aim to raise awareness of the role of art in society. In 2025, Ida Bringedal took over as the new chief curator, and she will lead the agency's further work in supporting state enterprises with art in rented or older buildings.
