Oslo Arbeidersamfunn is the largest and most traditional party group of the Labor Party. The organization was founded on 17 February 1864 by Eilert Sundt, a well-known theologian and sociologist. It was originally established as a cultural and welfare organization for workers in Oslo, and since then has been an important part of the political and social development in the region.
Since 1893, Oslo Arbeidersamfunn has been affiliated with the Labor Party, which has helped to strengthen the ties between the party and the local community. Membership in the organization is open to anyone who supports the Labor Party's values and objectives. Over the years, Oslo Arbeidersamfunn has been a platform for political engagement and social debate, and has played a central role in the history of the labor movement in Norway.
