The Norwegian Government Agency for Financial Management, known as DFØ, is the state's professional body for financial management. The agency's aim is to contribute to efficient use of resources through good decision-making bases for government measures. DFØ focuses on organization and management within the public sector, and offers specialized services such as procurement services, as well as payroll and accounting services.
DFØ supplies payroll and accounting services to approximately 90 per cent of the central government, and is responsible for the central government's accounts and the central government's group account scheme. Through its services and professional expertise, DFØ plays an important role in the management of state resources and measures.
