The Tyrilisenteret in Oslo offers knowledge-based addiction treatment with a focus on the patient. The center has developed a model for rapid access to detoxification, which is designed to prevent overdoses. The treatment includes integrated detoxification as part of inpatient treatment, and special attention is paid to substance abuse problems among inmates in prison.
The center has a comprehensive offer that includes treatment on an hourly basis in the outpatient clinic, as well as day and evening treatment. With 10 treatment units and 200 patient places, the Tyrilisenteret is staffed by 250 employees who are dedicated to drug treatment. In addition, the center actively participates in community debates, such as Arendal Week, to contribute to increased awareness of drug problems.
