The AMC Association, founded in autumn 1987, is a national association for people with Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC) and their families. The association is associated with the Norwegian Handikapforbund and works to create contact between members, as well as offer information and support. This takes place, among other things, through collaboration with organizations such as NHF/NHFU, Sunnaas and TRS, as well as by organizing national peer meetings once a year.
The association focuses on rare diagnoses, with more than 6,000 different types, and offers courses and group guidance for relatives. Members have access to advice and tips to improve their quality of life, as well as a closed Facebook group for paying members. AMC Foreningen also arranges digital annual meetings for its members, and functions as a national competence center for rare diagnoses.
