Fagforbundet Teater og Scene is a nationwide trade union that represents technical, artistic and administrative employees at performing arts businesses. The association organizes both permanent and temporary employees, as well as freelancers in the cultural industry. The main focus is on securing good pay and working conditions for the members of the theater and performing arts community.
The association offers a number of services, including courses such as basic courses in organizational knowledge and specialized thematic courses in personnel policy. In addition, Verktøykassa is organised, a learning arena for workshop employees, which promotes skills development. The trade association Teater og Scene actively participates in Pride parades to promote inclusion and diversity, and awards the Trade Award to recognize outstanding work in the performing arts. Members also get access to various benefits, such as course support and liability insurance.
