The Historical Heritage Association is an organization with a focus on the preservation of cultural heritage in Norway. The association works actively to support and promote projects related to cultural heritage, including through its national antiquarian committee. In addition to conservation work, they offer courses in traditional crafts, which help to pass on traditional craft techniques.
The association also engages local communities in conservation work and organizes activities for children through the Fortimus programme. They publish the members' magazine Fortidsvern and Årboken, which contain information and articles about cultural monuments and conservation projects. The Ancient Heritage Association awards a conservation award to recognize outstanding conservation projects, and has established an adoption program for cultural heritage. In addition, they have developed a digital museum and a knowledge bank for house owners, which provides access to resources and information about cultural heritage.
