The association Interkulturell kvinnogruppe (IKKG) was founded in 2009 and registered in the Brønnøysund register in 2012. The main base for the association is in Oslo. IKKG works to support women with minority backgrounds through various activities and measures.
The purpose of the association includes finding foster families with a minority background, as well as guiding minorities on child welfare and child-rearing. IKKG offers courses, themed evenings and lectures, and works to create meeting places and form networks among its members. The association also aims to increase contact between members and other associations, as well as to inform women about their rights and duties in Norwegian society.
