The Knowledge City in Oslo, also known as Oslo Science City, is Norway's first innovation district. Located in the areas of Majorstuen, Marienlyst, Blindern, Gaustad, Ullevål stadium and Campus Radiumhospitalet, the association aims to promote collaboration between researchers, students, start-up environments, businesses and public actors. This collaboration focuses particularly on health and life sciences, where two thirds of Norwegian health research takes place.
Oslo Science City is known for its leading research environments in digitalisation, machine learning and artificial intelligence. The interdisciplinary work carried out here aims to build an inclusive democracy and develop sustainable workplaces. The district functions as a meeting place for exploration and value creation, and contributes to solving societal challenges through innovation and increased value creation.
