The Women's Front in Norway is a party-politically independent membership organization that has been active since its establishment as Norway's oldest radical women's organization. The organization carries out extensive and versatile women's political work at local, national and international level. The main focus is on women's liberation, where they work with important topics such as self-determined abortion, economic independence and sexual liberation.
Kvinnefronten is also involved in the fight against violence against women and works actively to abolish tribunals related to women's politics. The organization emphasizes that women's right to decide over their own lives and bodies is a fundamental human right, and that cultural or religious references can never legitimize practices that oppress women. The Women's Front promotes the idea that the full liberation of women depends on their right and opportunity to choose their life path regardless of factors such as skin colour, ethnicity, sexuality, civil status, class or functional ability.
In addition to the political work, Kvinnefronten runs a shop that offers relevant products. The organisation's aim is to create awareness of women's political issues and to mobilize women for active participation in the fight for equality and justice.
