The National Association of Youth & Leisure is a democratic organization that represents around 3,000 youth workers and 120,000 young people. The organization works to strengthen and develop leisure clubs and youth centres, which are important meeting places for young people. Through their commitment, they offer competence-enhancing courses for both youth and youth management, as well as access to useful subject matter and resources for members.
The national association also organizes the National Conference for leisure clubs, where current topics in youth work are discussed. They focus on computer culture and digital resources, and offer webinars on topics such as gaming and inclusion. In addition, they engage in political work to promote youth rights and provide access to support schemes such as Erasmus+.
