The Painters' National Association (MLF) is the trade association for Norwegian master companies in painting and surface engineering. The organization has 18 local guilds and an administration in Oslo. MLF works to improve the framework conditions for the industry and promote a serious working life. The association focuses on skills development and professional collaboration, and aims to increase recruitment and ensure the right skills for companies.
MLF offers a range of member benefits, including insurance, car and fuel discounts, telephony and internet, as well as credit and collection services. The organization also organizes internal company courses, such as training in NS 3420-T, and offers digital vocational theory for professional development. In addition, MLF participates in fairs such as Bygg Reis Deg and plans to organize the NM in surface engineering in 2025. The association is also developing MLF PRO, an HSE and management system for the industry.
