Nordmanns-Forbundet, also known as Norwegians Worldwide, is an organization that has worked for transatlantic cooperation since 1919. It aims to promote academic and cultural exchange between Norway and North America. The organization offers free guidance for studies in the USA and has assisted over 5,000 students with scholarships for study and research stays. It is open to anyone with an interest in transatlantic cooperation.
In 2020, the Nordmanns-Forbundet merged with the Norge-Amerika Foreningen, and they now operate as one entity under the name Norge-Amerika Foreningen (NORAM). The organization has strong historical and political ties to both the USA and Canada, and it functions as an important actor for Norwegians abroad, their descendants, as well as Norwegians temporarily resident in other countries. Membership is available to interested parties who wish to get involved in the organisation's work.
