The Norwegian Shooting Association is a special association under the Norwegian Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (NIF), with responsibility for the organization and management of shooting activities in Norway. The association aims to promote shooting as a sport, and works to develop appropriate rules for the various shooting disciplines, both nationally and internationally. In addition, the association represents Norwegian shooting in the international arena and acts as a link between domestic and foreign shooting organisations.
The association organizes various competitions and championships, including the Nordic Championships, and is involved in the recruitment of new members. Parachuting and a coaching pool are also offered to support and guide athletes. The Norwegian Archery Association participates in community service and collects anonymized data to improve the user experience. Through these activities, the association works to meet the demands and challenges faced by the members and the sport.
