Norske Kokkers Landsforening is an organization aimed at professionals within the food and meal industry. The association offers membership to chefs and other players in the industry, and acts as a meeting place for skilled chefs. It aims to strengthen and further develop Norwegian food and food culture, as well as promote the use of Norwegian raw materials.
The organization organizes several competitions, including the NM in Culinary Arts and the Cooking Olympics, which give members the opportunity to show off their skills. In addition to competitions, the National Association of Norwegian Chefs offers education through the Chef Campus and the Baker & Confectioner Campus, which give chefs the opportunity to develop their careers, from diplomas to management positions. The association also collaborates with international organizations such as WACS and focuses on the recruitment and development of young talent in the industry.
The National Association of Norwegian Chefs supports charitable causes, including the Cancer Association, and has honorary members and badges of honor for outstanding achievements in the field of cooking. Through its work, the association contributes to raising the standard for the cooking profession in Norway.
