The Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association is a membership organization whose aim is to promote electric mobility with a focus on climate and the environment. The association was formally founded in November 1995, but its activities started as early as 1992. The organization has grown significantly since its inception and now has over 120,000 members, which mainly consist of private individuals, but also include organizational and corporate members.
The members of the Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association are represented by local associations, which send representatives to the association's national meeting. The day-to-day running of the organization takes place through a secretariat located in Oslo. The association works to promote the use of electric vehicles and contribute to sustainable development within the transport sector.
