Norwegian Outdoors is a joint organization that represents 19 voluntary outdoor life organisations. The organization has close to one million members and includes around 5,000 teams and associations. The main goal is to strengthen the position of outdoor life in society, which they work on through various initiatives and activities.
To support outdoor life, Norwegian Outdoors offers free materials and guides, as well as organizes activities and conferences related to outdoor life. The organization has a particular focus on diversity and inclusion, and in connection with Friluftlivet's year 2025, an activity calendar for local events is planned. In addition, they award the outdoorsman of the year, which highlights good contributions to outdoor life.
