The Norwegian Police Federation is the largest police union, with over 17,000 members. The organization focuses on wages and working conditions for employees in the police, and works actively with issues related to the minimum wage. In addition to salary negotiations, the union offers courses and conferences for members, as well as arranging professional meetings and gatherings for shop stewards.
The association is also involved in political work, particularly in connection with the development of pension schemes for members. The Norwegian Police Federation has its own insurance service which is available to its members, and organizes several professional groups and levels within the justice sector, including police, civil servants, lawyers and students.
