Oslo transitional housing, ward Torshov, is a community center with capacity for 16 places for both women and men. The center offers close follow-up of convicts during the execution of their sentences, and aims to support rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Emphasis is placed on a restorative process as part of the offer, which can help promote positive changes in the participants.
In addition to follow-up, the center offers health services and drug control to safeguard the participants' physical and mental health. The program activities are adapted to the needs of those who live there, and there is the possibility of leave. The center also has access to the internet and a contact officer, which can be useful for the residents' communication and activities. Transfers to other prisons in Norway are also part of the service offer.
