Oslo Sanitetsforening is Norway's oldest local association associated with the Norske Kvinners Sanitetsforening, established in 1896. The association aims to focus on women's health and living conditions, and offers a range of activities and services to support this purpose. Among the offerings are low-threshold yoga and language friend activities, which are designed to promote health and community among women.
In addition, the association runs Kvinnehelsehus Oslo, which functions as a support and networking site for women in vulnerable situations. The association emphasizes creating an inclusive community that can contribute to strengthening the quality of life for its members. Oslo Sanitetsforening also collaborates with Oslo Crisis Center to offer help to women who have been exposed to violence, and organizes activities for different target groups in several locations.
