The Association of Psychologists, established in 1934, is Norway's only professional association for authorized psychologists and professional students. The association is connected to the Academics and aims to look after the members' academic and financial interests. It offers a range of services, including academic and financial benefits, as well as support for further and further education through scholarship schemes.
The association arranges courses and education for psychologists, and every three years a national meeting is held for the members. The Association of Psychologists is also actively involved in issues related to mental health and ethics within the profession. The building that houses the association has a history that stretches back nearly 200 years, giving a historical perspective to its current activities and mission.
