Hovseter secondary school is located in the Vestre Aker district and offers a varied range of subjects with a particular focus on language subjects such as German, French, Spanish, as well as immersion in English and Norwegian. The school has eight classes at each level and receives pupils from nearby schools such as Huseby, Voksen, Bogstad, Holmen and Sørkedalen. In addition to the academic offer, Hovseter offers learning support and homework help for students, as well as school health services and counseling services.
The school emphasizes a good school environment and student welfare, and involves parents in various activities. Among other things, a flea market is organized to support class trips. Hovseter secondary school also has special services for students with dyslexia and offers elective subjects.
