Nordpolen School is located in Oslo and offers teaching at primary school level. The school has a special education department that is adapted to students with autism spectrum disorder, which contributes to an inclusive learning environment. To promote well-being among the pupils, the Well-Being Manager program is implemented, which aims to strengthen the social environment at school.
The school also offers a number of services such as free school breakfast and school milk, as well as an activity school (AKS) with free services after school. Pupils get the opportunity to participate in learning-supporting activities and homework help. Nordpolen School has a focus on health and welfare, with school health services and counseling available. The teaching also includes Sami language and the right to Sami education, as well as the use of learning boards in all classes to support the learning process.
