Norsk Restaurantskole is Norway's first and only private upper secondary school specializing in restaurant and food subjects. The school offers VG1 Restaurant and food subjects and VG2 Cook and waiter subjects, with a pedagogical approach that emphasizes personal follow-up of each student. With small classes and a committed teaching staff from the industry, arrangements have been made for close contact between students and teachers, which contributes to a good learning environment.
The school aims to make restaurant and food subjects a first choice for young people and wants to promote Norwegian culinary art and tourism. After two years at the school, students are guaranteed an apprenticeship, and most who start at VG1 complete VG2 and start an apprenticeship at renowned restaurants in Oslo. The students can obtain internationally recognized qualifications as both a waiter and a chef. The school is centrally located in the center of Oslo, just a few minutes' walk from Oslo S and the bus terminal.
