Oslo Fotokunstskole offers studies in photographic art as well as film and video art. The school has both full-time and part-time studies, which gives students flexibility. The learning environment is characterized by committed fellow students and professional artists who act as teachers. In addition to the regular teaching, guest lecturers from the industry are invited to give the students insight into current topics and trends.
The school places great emphasis on practical experience and student work, and this is reflected in the organization of exhibitions as part of the learning process. Film salons are also offered where current topics are discussed, often with guests from the film and art community. Oslo Fotokunstskole also has a course program with short courses that are open to anyone with an interest in photography or film, which contributes to a creative community.
