Oslo Montessori School was established in 1990 and offers teaching for children aged 6–15. The school uses pedagogical methods developed by Maria Montessori, which emphasize individual adaptation in the learning process. The transition between the steps takes place in a smooth manner, which contributes to an adapted learning experience for each individual student.
The school has a focus on the joy of mastery, independence and freedom, and arrangements have been made for committed collaboration with the local environment. In addition to teaching, Oslo Montessori School offers an after-school program (SFO) and has an associated kindergarten, Casa dei Bambini. Regular activities are organized for both pupils and parents, and the school has guidelines for absences and rules of order. The Friends Association supports the school's activities, and there are opportunities for free places and funds for students.
