Sjakk5ern is a project that offers free chess training to fifth graders in Oslo. The program is designed to engage students in the game of chess, while promoting cooperation and class cohesion. Through the training, students get the opportunity to develop their chess skills, which can be both fun and educational.
A central part of Sjakk5ern is the championship between the classes, which gives participants the chance to compete at different levels, including the opportunity to participate in the national final. To motivate high participation, the project uses a points system that rewards classes that show great commitment. This social project aims to engage the whole class, and create a positive experience for everyone involved.
