Veitvet School is a primary school that offers a varied range of subjects with a particular focus on reading in all subjects. The school has a language team that works with mother tongue teaching, and exam courses in mathematics are offered for students who want extra support. In addition, the school has reception classes for newly arrived students, which provide adapted training to facilitate the transition to the Norwegian school system.
The school also offers electives and educational activities, as well as an activity school with a varied program and food service. To promote well-being among the pupils, a well-being program and a sponsorship scheme have been implemented. The collaboration between school and home is an important part of the school's approach, which aims to strengthen the pupils' learning. In 2025, a new school library will open, which will help to support the school's holistic approach, where the whole person is challenged and developed.
