Norwegian Defibrillator Register is an organization whose task since 2012 has been to collect and disseminate information about defibrillators in Norway. Through a user-friendly website, they offer an overview of defibrillators, including information on maintenance and placement. This contributes to increased preparedness and security in society by making it easier for first aiders and emergency medical personnel to find available defibrillators in critical situations.
In addition to disseminating information, the Norskhjertestarterregister offers resources for training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and collaborates with local actors to spread knowledge about cardiac arrest. The organization also provides access to the registration of new defibrillators, which helps to update the overview of available equipment. They also provide courses as well as equipment and parts for most types of defibrillators, and work with suppliers to ensure that the necessary equipment is readily available.
