Ullevål hospital Building 48 houses NORMENT, which is a Norwegian center for research into mental disorders. The section for psychosis research is a central part of this unit, where emphasis is placed on research and innovation in health. NORMENT aims to improve the understanding of mental disorders, with a particular focus on children and young people who are admitted to hospital.
The center also offers courses and training for both patients and relatives, as well as information on rights and opportunities for patients. In addition, NORMENT works with laboratory services and quality assurance of healthcare services, which contributes to a holistic approach to treatment and care. Collaboration for better health skills and equal services is also an important part of NORMENT's operations.
