Ullevål hospital, building 50, houses Heroin-assisted treatment in Oslo (HABiO), a five-year pilot project aimed at patients with severe opioid-dominated drug addiction. The project aims to offer a structured form of treatment for people struggling with addiction to opioids, and is part of a wider health initiative to deal with addiction problems.
The building is located in Østre gate, in the northern part of the hospital area, near the entrance from Tåsen. HABiO focuses on giving patients the necessary support and treatment, and is part of a research project that will evaluate the effect of heroin-assisted treatment in Norway.
