Campus Nyland is Bane NOR's education centre, whose main task is to support the introduction of ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) in Norway. The center is responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of the railway network, and works to link city and village more closely together. This includes a focus on sustainable travel alternatives, where temporary measures such as crushers are used to promote environmentally friendly solutions.
Campus Nyland also has an important role in connection with the official opening of new stations and double tracks, which are often accompanied by festivities. The center prioritizes safety for both workers and passengers, and offers real-time information about train traffic and ongoing work on the railway. Through its activities, Campus Nyland contributes to a more efficient and sustainable railway operation in Norway.
