BUA Løkka is a non-profit organization that offers free lending of sports equipment to children and young people. The aim of the organization is to promote activity and provide opportunities to try out various activities without financial burden. The range of equipment includes skateboards, skates, toboggan boards, joint skis, alpine skis, roller skates, as well as necessary protective equipment such as helmets. In addition, hiking equipment such as fishing rods, carrying nipples, bags, sleeping mats, tents and sleeping bags are offered.
The organization has a strong focus on sustainable consumption and accessibility for all children and young people. BUA Løkka encourages trying new activities and provides the opportunity to participate in varied physical activity. Located in the basement of Slurpen in Lakkegata 79C, the entrance is easily accessible through a black grille above the skate park. BUA Løkka is run by Bydel Grünerløkka and is part of the BUA network, which works to give children and young people more opportunities to be active.
