Fagpressen is Norway's oldest press organisation, founded in 1898, and represents the interests of trade magazines, journals and magazines both in print and online. The organization has approximately 240 member magazines and is part of the Norwegian Press Association. The trade press works to improve the framework conditions for publishing various media, and the member magazines follow the same ethical guidelines as other Norwegian media.
The organization offers several services, including support from Fritt Ord to five trade press editorial offices and a new industry campaign focusing on editorial quality. Fagpressen also organizes skills development and various events for the media industry. In addition, they examine the media habits of young people on platforms such as TikTok and Snapchat, and provide opportunities for innovation funds and courses for projects. Previous annual reports and circulation control are available to members, and a new pub is opening at Pressens hus.
