Fretex clothing collection is part of the Salvation Army and focuses on reuse and work inclusion. The organization works actively to contribute to the UN's sustainability goals by offering opportunities for people outside the working world. Fretex has two main business areas: reuse of textiles and social work, where the core values of openness, love, profitability and commitment are central.
In Fretex's collection points, people can give away clothes, shoes, belts, bags and other accessories that are whole, clean and dry. Gifts received are sold or distributed through the Salvation Army's social work, and the earnings from the sale contribute up to NOK 30 million annually to this work. Fretex also has 40 second-hand shops and an online shop, which offers an environmentally friendly alternative to buying new clothes and goods. From 2025, Fretex will also start receiving textile waste.
