Fretex clothing collection is part of the Salvation Army and focuses on reuse and work inclusion. The organization works to combat alienation by giving people opportunities to get work. Through its work, Fretex promotes sustainability and environmentally friendly practices, and offers residents the opportunity to give away textile waste and gifts. The core values include openness, love, profitability and commitment.
Fretex accepts clothes that are whole, clean and dry, as well as shoes, belts, bags and other accessories. Gifts delivered are sold or distributed through the Salvation Army's social work. Annually, up to NOK 30 million from the sales sum goes to support social work. In addition to collecting clothes, Fretex has 40 second-hand shops and an online store, which offers an environmentally friendly alternative to new clothes and goods. From 2025, they plan to accept textile waste from the municipalities.
